New York

Colby just booked tickets to NYC and we are stoked to go explore the city.  I went once as a high schooler with my fam and Colby has never been.

Did I mention we are excited!

We will be there 5 days in June and know it will be a whirlwind of a trip.

Since neither of us have had to plan a trip there before, I am desperate to hear from those of you who have been and have great recommendations of places to see, restaurants/cafe to eat at, and things to do.  Seriously, the more suggestions the better.  We are willing to spend a little, but would prefer to keep it more as a budget-friendly trip if at all possible.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

New York, here we come.

You've got to see a show on Broadway. "Wicked" is our favorite.

A few places to eat that come to mind - Lombardi's Pizza, Serendipity 3 (known for their obnoxiously large desserts and usually a very long wait), and Katz's Delicatessen. Directions/hours should be relatively easy to find on Google.

how fun! I love new york!!! Preston and I went last August and I wrote all about what we did on the blog. We were only there 2 1/2 days so we didn't get to do everything I wanted, but we packed a lot in!
Definitely check out Rockefeller plaza and go to the Today Show, then spend the rest of the afternoon shopping in the plaza and along 5th avenue. broadway plays, empire state building, the Rock, Statue of Liberty, China town, Central Park (we walked the entire thing and it took hours!!), rent a bike around the park or go for a boat ride....
you really can't go wrong!

I'm so jealous! I love Dean and Deluca's. And you have to see a Broadway play. But wait until you get there to buy tickets because there is a cheap place to buy them in Times Square (I don't remember what it is called, but it is like right in the middle). Oh, and go to Canal Street to buy cheap knock offs.

Have so much fun!!!

These are all great suggestions. Serendipity 3 is a must. Also, take a ferry to Ellis Island if you can. You will pass the Statue of Liberty on your way out there. There's also a good pizza place under the Brooklyn Bridge called Grimaldi's but it can have a long wait as well. You will be surprised at the amount of stuff you can do in 5 days. Have so much fun! I love New York!

I've always wanted to go to NYC. My best friend has family there and we were going to go at the end of this month but a few things came up!

Go to Max Brenners it is right off Union Square, I am pretty sure. Get the hot chocolate. It is the best I have ever had. Also, it may seem like a lot of money at the moment, but seriously take one of those double decker buses and go on a city tour... that way you don't walk {which SPencer HATED with a passion} and you get to really see where you want to visit. It is smart I tell ya.

Have so much fun!!!

Hey when are you going? I'll be there the weekend of the 18th! It'd be fun to catch lunch or something with you, I haven't seen you since graduation! Love you.
